“If you know someone who tries to drown their sorrows, you might tell them sorrows know how to swim.” — ~Quoted in P.S. I Love You, compiled by H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
“HEY YOU. Yes, you. Stop being unhappy with yourself. YOU ARE PERFECT. Stop wishing you looked like someone else or wishing that people liked you as much as they liked someone else. Stop trying to get attention from those that hurt you. Stop hating your body, your face, your personality, your quirks. LOVE THEM. Without those things, you wouldn’t be you, and why would you want to be anyone else? Be confident with who you are. Smile. It’ll draw people in. My happiness will not depend on others anymore. I’m happy because I LOVE WHO I AM. I love my flaws. I love my imperfections. They make me me, and ‘me’ is pretty amazing. ♥” —my beautiful friend, Halley Hadfield
Hurry and Worry

I’ve been saying all day long that I can’t wait for this day and the next to be over and it’s giving me so much anxiety dwelling on it all so I asked myself one question: Why would I want two whole days to be over?  These days are gifts and I’m complaining that I can’t wait to forget about these gifts that I’ve been given and put them behind me.  I need to find comfort, presence and gratitude in the place that I am at right now, and not worry about where I’m hoping to be in a mere 24+ hours.

Deep breaths of gratitude for my time on this earth and maybe all of the stress that I am under will not seem so frustrating.

Stress is fleeting, it will not last forever.

Stronger everyday.

Look to this day!

For it is life, the very life of life.

For yesterday is but a dream

And tomorrow is only a vision

But today well lived makes

every yesterday a dream of happiness

And tomorrow a vision of hope.

Look well, therefore, to this day!

Such is the salutation of the dawn.

“Never, never be afraid to do what’s right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society’s punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way.” —Martin Luther King, Jr. (via shepislove)

“Enlightenment is always there. Small enlightenment will bring great enlightenment. If you breathe in and are aware that you are alive—that you can touch the miracle of being alive—then that is a kind of enlightenment.” —Read more: http://www.oprah.com/spirit/12-Inspiring-Quotes-From-Thich-Nhat-Hanh#ixzz1jJwF0C1S
